When it comes to celebrity photos most photo owners will always be wondering the worth of their photo. If the photo in question is a general photo or reproduction that many individuals throughout the world have, the photo will generally not be worth that much. In most cases the photo will not be worth more than what you or the owner paid for it originally.

However, if your photo is a one of a kind original photo it can be worth thousands or in some cases millions of dollars. This is one reason why there are so many individuals who make a career out of being a Paparazzi. They will attempt to take a picture of a celebrity in a candid act or with their newborn baby in order to make a good chunk of money. They will also attempt to catch a celebrity with another celebrity and claim that a new romance is in the air. These types of photos have been known to sell for millions of dollars to national and tabloid magazines throughout the world.

Your celebrity photo is worth more if it is unique. If it is a one of a kind that has not been replicated or reproduced to the masses.

If you are not a Paparazzi or professional photographer and you have simply taken a celebrity photo for your own collection, and the photo is not one that will force major magazines to open up their check books, then there is only one sure fire way to set it apart from the rest and add some value to it.

This would be by having the celebrity in the photo actually sign the photo. However, this is generally easier said than done. Some celebrities don't even sign autographs. You may also have to spend time and money tracking down the celebrity at a function where they are prone to sign autographs. However, the time and effort you put into making this happen will add worth to your photo once you have obtained the autograph.

The autograph will then increase the price of the celebrity photo due to the fact that it is unique and set apart from the rest. This is what the autograph actually does. It brings a sense of authenticity to the photo, therefore adding worth. However, as stated before, you will have to go through the motions of actually finding the celebrity and asking them to sign your celebrity photo.

Most individuals who purchase celebrity photos are only interested in obtaining the unique and hard to find, or those celebrity photos that have an authentic autograph on them. In most cases they will look for autographs that are not "personal" in nature. They will simply be looking for the celebrity's name. However, some celebrities will not simply write their name on a photo as part of their autograph. Instead they will sign it with their name and other words designed to personalize the autograph, and to make sure that the person they are giving it to does not attempt to replicate the autograph.
