Many collectors are often willing to sell items to fellow collectors or even by making a trade to find a piece that they desire themselves.

Collecting celebrity memorabilia can almost turn into a game for some people, giving them the drive to find all of the pieces and build their collection. Often, when a rare piece is finally obtained, a thrill can be felt by the collector. Having an impressive collection of celebrity memorabilia can give one not only a sense of pride, but a dignified reputation, almost as the curator of a museum might experience. Private collections allow one to display their findings with pride and this gives many people the drive to do something constructive with their life. Many people are aimless in today's society because there is nothing that they feel passionate about.
