Ever since it became a common place item in every household, television shows have been a regular part of the general public life. We all have favorite television shows and we all generally make an effort to follow those shows as closely as we can. For some of us, those shows move past something which we casually watch and become a bit of a habit for us. We are addicted to these shows which we love and become somewhat rabid fans. This moves us well past just watching the show every week to see the new episode. Our love of the show will drive us well past that.

Instead, we want to become collectors of items which are related to the show. When a show is popular, companion books to the show are often published. These books will offer an inside glimpse at many facets of the show which might not otherwise be shown to fans. They can trace the historical origins of the show and offer predictions about where the show might be going. These companions can often offer interviews with the creators, actors, and crew of the show, showing special insights that fans would love to hear about.

Most of these shows are released in DVD box sets now. These DVD box sets are often collectors items in their own rights, as they come in specially marked packaging and will offer a slew of bonus features. Commentary tracks, bonus features, and interviews included on these DVDs will often delight any fan, giving them more to know about the show. These DVD editions will often be labeled as Collector's Sets, giving them a place in the collections of any fan.

These are not the only forms of celebrity collectibles, however. Additional items are also often available to be collected. Stills from the show can help to decorate any space as well as be valuable items, especially if the stills have been signed by members of the cast. Scripts from certain episodes will also make for good celebrity collectibles, as they will be items which the cast has used to create their show. Any of these items which may have played a part during the creation of the show are sure to be valued to someone making a collection of memorabilia based on their favorite television show.

Items used during the filming of the show are also often available for collectors. Reality television shows in particular will often auction off the props from one of their seasons after the show is complete. These profits will very often be donated to charity. Other props might be available, such as items that were displayed in the background of certain scenes to props which the cast might have used during the takes of the show. Wardrobe from the show can also be a very popular item of celebrity collectibles as these are items which can be taken and used again by the fan if they so desire. Television offers a myriad of possibilities when it comes to celebrity collectibles, you only need a little imagination to find a place to start the collecting.
